Job summary

University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust is seeking a Therapy Technical Instructor to join the ICSRS stroke pathway. The post requires driving license and car access for community travel and supports qualified staff in clinical tasks while managing a caseload under supervision.

Qualifications

• GCSE English with grade C/4 or above or evidence of good literacy.
• GCSE Maths with grade C/4 or above or evidence of good numeracy.
• Car owner and full UK driving licence.
• Therapy/Health–based competencies.
• Qualification within health/social or sports environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for qualified staff in a range of clinical and non-clinical tasks as part of the stroke community therapy service.
• Carry patient caseload within agreed guidelines and manage own daily caseload to ensure an effective service.
• Work without direct supervision, but under guidance of qualified staff for tasks in treatment and rehabilitation programmes.
• Work within protocols and competencies specific to this post.
• Assist in planning, coordinating and delivering therapy services on the ICSRS.
• Contribute to evidence-based audit and research projects to advance clinical practice.
• Engage actively in inter-professional collaboration within the directorate.
• Possess some administrative responsibilities as required with regular supervision.
• Attend in-service training and participate in flexible working across the stroke pathway.
