Job summary

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or above or equivalent.
• Car owner with full UK driving licence.
• Therapy/Health based competencies relevant to rehabilitation.
• Qualification within health/social or sports environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for qualified staff in clinical and non-clinical tasks within the stroke community therapy service.
• Deliver therapy input to patients and manage own daily caseload within guidelines.
• Work without direct supervision, under guidance of qualified staff on specific tasks.
• Work within protocols and competencies specific to this post.
• Assist in planning, coordinating and delivering therapy services on the ICRS.
• Contribute to evidence-based audit and research to advance practice.
• Engage in inter-professional teamwork within the directorate.
• Carry out administrative tasks as required and participate in service training.
• Flexibly work across the stroke pathway and support the Acute Stroke Therapy Team when needed.
