Job summary

University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust is seeking an enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist to join the Acute and Stroke Inpatient team on a permanent basis.

The post may suit someone with post-graduate experience or a newly qualified therapist, able to work across hyper-acute and acute wards providing assessment, diagnosis and intervention for adults with communication and swallowing difficulties.

Qualifications

• Post-graduate experience in speech and language therapy or newly qualified.
• Enthusiastic, innovative team player with flexibility for busy acute hospital demands.
• Willingness to provide assessment, diagnosis and intervention for adults with communication and swallowing difficulties.

Responsibilities

• Provide a SLT service on hyper acute and acute stroke wards with a designated caseload.
• Occasionally attend Rugby St Cross hospital to support SLT provision.
• Participate in training to maintain and enhance clinical competencies.
• Plan and prioritise caseload with support from senior clinicians.
• Deliver evidence-based, client-centred care for diverse patient needs.
