Job summary

Sandwell Children's Trust invites applications for passionate Practitioners to join Family Help Teams, delivering integrated support across Early Help and CIN to improve outcomes for children, young people, and families. You will work directly with families, providing timely, strengths-based interventions and leading CIN plans alongside Family Help support to ensure a coordinated approach.

You will engage families, deliver trauma-informed practice, and collaborate within a multi-agency framework

Qualifications

• Experience in Early Help, Strengthening Families, or Child in Need services.
• Ability to engage families and build trusting relationships.
• Proficiency in strengths-based and trauma-informed practice.
• Confidence in assessment, planning, and multi-agency coordination.
• Commitment to improving outcomes and reducing statutory intervention.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct, relationship-based interventions to children, young people, and families.
• Lead and coordinate Child in Need (CIN) plans with Family Help work.
• Undertake high-quality assessments and develop outcome-focused plans.
• Work collaboratively within a multi-agency team to coordinate support.
• Promote family-led decision-making and empower families.
• Ensure the voice of the child is central to all planning and intervention.
• Monitor progress and adapt to ensure timely and effective outcomes.
