Job summary

Pro Social Partners Ltd and Sandwell Children's Trust are recruiting a Senior Social Worker into the Family Help service. The role involves handling a caseload of complex cases, mentoring colleagues and delivering high-quality assessments within statutory timescales.

You will work with families and multi-agency partners to reduce risk and ensure the voice of the child is central to planning. We offer a permanent role with a £2,500 retention payment and a supportive management structure,

Qualifications

• A recognised Social Work qualification is required.
• Current Social Work England registration is required.
• Post-qualifying experience in Children's Social Care, ideally Family Help/CIN/CP.
• Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Hold a caseload of more complex work and act as a source of practice expertise for the team.
• Support, mentor and co-work with newly qualified and less experienced colleagues.
• See children and families within Family Help, CIN or CP, across child in need and protection.
• Complete high-quality assessments, plans and reports within statutory timescales.
• Work with families and multi-agency professionals to reduce risk and create lasting change.
• Attend strategy meetings and child protection conferences; ensure child voice is central.
