Job summary

Battersea is seeking a dedicated role based in London to support and maintain relationships with Local Authority Animal Welfare Officers signed up to Battersea’s Stray Dog Support Programme (SDSP). The successful candidate will travel to different local authorities and sites to design, support, develop and deliver the programme alongside the Programme board.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain relationships with Local Authority Animal Welfare Officers and stakeholders to design, support, develop and deliver the Stray Dog Support Programme.
• Work closely with the internal Programme board and Local Authorities to develop the SDSP.
• Travel to different local authorities and sites as required to meet programme needs.
• Prepare reports and data to a high standard for review.

Job description

Please note this role is based in London, but the successful candidate will be expected to travel to different local authorities and sites.

The main responsibility of this role will be to support and maintain the relationships with the Local Authority Animal Welfare Officers signed up to Battersea’s Stray Dog Support Programme. and relevant stake holders to design, support, develop and deliver the programme.

This role will play a key role in supporting the development of the Stray Dog Support Programme (SDSP), working closely with the internal Programme board and the affiliated Local Authorities.

Requirements to be successful in this role:

• Possess of a full driving licence and can either use Battersea Vehicles or their own.
• Experience or knowledge of working with Local Authorities or animal welfare charities.
• Experience in dog handling and assessing.
• Excellent administrative and organisational skills, with proven ability to conduct research, collate data and produce reports to a high standard.
• Good standard of written English and numeracy and competent user of MS Office and IT systems.
