Job summary
Unum UK is seeking a Strategy Manager in the UK, based in Dorking or Basingstoke, with a hybrid pattern (2 days WFH). The role shapes and delivers key elements of Unum UK’s strategy, working with the Strategy & Transformation Director to drive high-impact analysis and executive-ready outputs.
You will monitor market trends, identify opportunities and risks, and translate insights into tangible business cases to inform strategic initiatives in a regulated environment.
Qualifications
- Experience in a strategy, consulting, transformation or commercial role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Experience in financial services, insurance, or regulated B2B environments.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyse market trends, customer needs, competitor activity and industry developments
- Identify strategic opportunities and risks across the business
- Develop evidence-based insights and recommendations to inform decisions
- Support creation and delivery of strategic initiatives and transformation programmes
- Partner with senior stakeholders across the organisation to shape future priorities
- Translate complex information into clear, actionable business cases
- Challenge existing thinking and drive continuous improvement through strategic insight
