Job summary

Vermelo is seeking a Strategy Manager to join a growing Strategy team within a leading insurance company. This hybrid role requires two days a week in our Manchester office, with responsibilities spanning insight-led strategy, market analysis and executive-ready recommendations.

You will shape Retail's priorities, drive growth opportunities and embed AI into ways of working, delivering measurable business impact as an early team member.

Qualifications

• Experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, transformation, or a similar role involving analysis, problem solving and strategic decision making
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure complex business issues
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
• Strong commercial acumen and curiosity about what drives business performance
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
• Interest in the application of AI to solve business challenges
• Financial Services or UK General Insurance experience is advantageous but not essential

Strategy Manager

This is a hybrid working opportunity, two days a week will be required in our Manchester office.

Role Overview

We have an exciting opportunity to join an expanding Strategy team with an exciting insurance company.

You’ll work on some of the business’ most important growth, performance and strategic priorities, shaping the future direction of the Retail business through insight, analysis and commercially focused recommendations.

Working across a broad range of topics, from market dynamics and competitive positioning to business performance and growth opportunities, you’ll help identify opportunities, solve complex business challenges and influence key decisions.

As an early member of the team, you will also help establish the Strategy function as a trusted partner, delivering measurable business impact and embedding AI in our ways of working as a team.
