Job summary

Vermelo is seeking a Strategy Manager to join its expanding Strategy team. This hybrid role requires two days per week in the Manchester office, focused on shaping Retail growth via insight and commercially oriented recommendations.

You will work on market dynamics, competitive positioning and performance analysis, influencing key decisions and embedding AI in ways of working as the team grows.

Qualifications

• Experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy or transformation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for complex issues.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Commercial acumen and curiosity about drivers of business performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic projects focused on Retail opportunities and challenges.
• Develop insight-led recommendations to support decision-making.
• Conduct market, competitor and business performance analysis.
• Produce high-quality presentations and analysis for senior stakeholders.
• Support development of Retail's strategic priorities and growth initiatives.
• Help shape Strategy team's capabilities, processes and long-term impact.
• Apply AI and emerging technologies to enhance insight generation and decision-making.
