Job summary

Smiths Detection is seeking a highly analytical Strategy Analyst to help drive important business decisions. You will work with the Strategy team to develop financial, commercial and operational models and translate insights into action for senior leaders.

Ideal candidates bring strong numerical analytics, proficiency with SQL/Python and the ability to communicate complex findings clearly. Hybrid working is offered with exposure to a global technology business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, economics or a quantitative field.
• Masters in analytics is preferred.
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
• Proficient in SQL and Python for data analysis.
• Ability to build models and forecast scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Build financial, commercial and operational models to evaluate strategic opportunities.
• Analyse complex data sets to uncover meaningful business insights.
• Challenge assumptions, identify risks, and test scenarios for decisions.
• Transform analysis into actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• Partner with Product Management, Portfolio, Finance, Commercial, Digital and Supply Chain.
