Job summary

Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust is seeking a Workforce Policy and Governance Advisor to support the Workforce Policy and Governance Lead in developing, implementing and maintaining workforce policies for the People and Culture Directorate.

The role covers policy management, compliance, FOI responses, risk and audit reporting, and training, with line management responsibility for a Corporate Business Support Assistant.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level in a professional related subject or equivalent experience in HR.
• Post graduate qualification in Human Resources Management or other relevant discipline.
• Member of the CIPD.
• Understands employment policy and procedures and how employment law is applied in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Support the Workforce Policy and Governance Lead to implement workforce policies and governance activities.
• Provide expert advice to ensure compliance with governance, statutory and regulatory responsibilities.
• Deliver policy management, risk management, audit reporting, and training activities.
• Line manage a Corporate Business Support Assistant and foster a collaborative team environment.
