Job summary

Leeds City Council is seeking a dynamic Volunteering Manager to develop and manage the volunteering programme within the Arts Events and Venues (AEV) team, and to support city development volunteering initiatives. The role requires leadership of recruitment, training, safety, and partnerships across the city.

You will manage a volunteer database, deliver induction sessions, and ensure robust systems and pathways.

Responsibilities

• Lead volunteer recruitment activities and events.
• Advocate for a strong volunteering programme across internal and external settings.
• Collaborate with partners to build on best practice for volunteering.
• Manage the volunteering database and maintain data integrity.
• Design training and induction for volunteers and ensure safety and wellbeing.
• Coordinate with AEV and LCC departments to create clear pathways into volunteering.
• Organise events and opportunities for volunteers to network and socialise.
• Develop marketing channels to attract a diverse volunteer base.
• Oversee budgets and monitor programme delivery.
