Job summary

Welsh National Opera is seeking an exceptional Trusts Manager to work with the Director of Development to develop an effective strategy to maximise income from trusts and foundations, ensuring growth and longevity. You will manage a portfolio of funders and coordinate applications and reports to meet annual targets.

In this role you will undertake prospect research with the Data Analyst, engage with WNO's Board and internal teams, and attend events on tour.

Qualifications

Experience securing Trusts and Foundations grants at five-figure levels.
Line management or supervision experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organisational and planning abilities with multiple projects and deadlines.
Experience handling budgets.
Experience in prospect research and funder portfolios.
Solid IT skills.
Willingness to work outside normal office hours and attend events.
Commitment to WNO's values.
Welsh language ability is desirable.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement a strategy to maximise income from trusts and foundations.
Manage a portfolio of trusts, reporting progress and outcomes.
Collaborate with Director of Development and internal stakeholders.
Undertake prospect research with the Data Analyst to identify new supporters.
Build external relationships with major funders and supporters.
