Job summary

The Royal Ballet School is seeking a Development Manager to grow trust and foundation partnerships and fund core programmes. You will lead on research, write funding applications and deliver impact reporting, working across the Development Team to secure multi-year support.

Based in Covent Garden with flexible/hybrid options, the role offers significant stakeholder engagement and opportunities to shape fundraising strategy within a globally recognised arts charity.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven experience securing multi-year grants from trusts and foundations.
• Experience building long-term relationships with trusts, foundations, funders and donors.
• Experience researching prospective funders and developing funding applications, reports and updates.
• Proficient in using fundraising databases, such as Salesforce, to maintain accurate records.
• Ability to analyse and communicate complex information, data and impact clearly.
• Strong understanding of fundraising best practice and evaluation.
• Excellent IT, data management and administrative skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Proactive, collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Support existing donor relationships and maximise income.
• Lead on research and funding applications to trusts and foundations.
• Deliver high-quality impact reporting across the School’s work.
• Develop new donor relationships and manage communications.
• Collaborate with the Development Team and Head of Development on funding proposals.
• Produce and submit quality fundraising reports and proposals.
• Forecasting, budgeting and internal planning to support funder requirements.
• Maintain CRM records and donor management across campaigns.
• Engage prospects with tailored content and case studies.
