Job summary

Leicestershire County Council is seeking two Transport Strategy Officers to help develop and implement transport policies and plans. You will analyse complex data, engage with Midlands Connect, National Highways and district councils, and provide strategic advice to Members and stakeholders.

You will support evidence gathering from national to local sources, write technical reports, and ensure policies align with wider county objectives while managing project budgets and timelines.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND/NVQ4 in a relevant qualification or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of current transport legislation, policies and frameworks.
• Experience working with internal/external partners to influence delivery of transport measures.
• Ability to analyse complex data to inform strategy.
• Experience writing technical and non-technical reports for stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
