Qualifications

• Significant experience in transport planning within a consultancy environment.
• Experience at Associate Director, Associate or Senior Principal level with ambition to progress.
• Strong technical understanding of development planning and the UK planning system.
• Proven experience delivering Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Travel Plans and transport strategies.
• Experience working on major development and infrastructure projects.
• Strong commercial awareness and experience managing project budgets and resources.
• Demonstrable ability to develop client relationships and contribute towards business development.
• Experience leading, managing and mentoring technical teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a portfolio of transport planning projects from inception to completion.
• Provide strategic transport planning advice to developers, local authorities, landowners and stakeholders.
• Oversee preparation and delivery of Transport Assessments, Statements, Travel Plans and other reports.
• Lead development of transport strategies for major schemes.
• Manage and develop client relationships, acting as a key contact on major projects.
• Identify new business opportunities and assist in bids and fee submissions.
• Support growth and development of the transport planning team.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring and guidance to colleagues.
• Liaise with TfL, National Highways and other statutory consultees.
• Ensure projects are delivered to high technical standards within budgets and timescales.
