Job summary

AECOM Midlands Transport Planning team is seeking an Associate Director to lead strategic initiatives, drive client engagement and deliver complex transport planning projects. You will work across national frameworks with multidisciplinary teams to provide sustainable solutions for highways, rail and urban transport.

The role requires Chartered status and a proven track record in winning work and leading teams within the UK. Hybrid working and career development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning or related field.
• Chartered status with CIHT/TPS or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in transport planning, with appraisal, business case development, and monitoring/evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: lead development and execution of strategic initiatives to grow the transport planning practice.
• Client and Stakeholder Engagement: build and maintain relationships with public sector, developers and operators; provide strategic advice.
• Project Delivery: oversee delivery of complex transport planning projects meeting quality, budget, and schedule targets; manage risks.
