Job summary

Aspion is seeking an experienced Transport Planner in Liverpool City Centre to join a busy general haulage operation across the UK. The role focuses on planning, prioritising assets and meeting KPI targets while ensuring compliance with EU and WTD rules.

A hands-on team player with strong communication will excel in this fast-paced environment. The position offers a dayshift, Monday to Friday schedule with a competitive £30,000–£35,000 salary.

Qualifications

• Must have transport planning experience and general haulage knowledge.
• Ability to work to targets in a fast paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan allocated resource pool legally, compliantly and efficiently.
• Achieve weekly vehicle targets and minimise costs against KPI's.
• Collaborate with planning team to optimise fleet utilisation.
• Monitor vehicle movements from origin to destination.
• Maintain live data in TMS / TOPS and ensure accurate records.
• Report non conformances to customers promptly.
• Coordinate with customers on additional charges (tolls, demurrage).
• Ensure invoices are processed by accounts; comply with trading standards.
• Provide holiday cover and handle health & safety issues when needed.
• Maintain daily contact with depots and operations, and take on other duties as required.
