Job summary

Aspion is seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join our team in Huddersfield. This temporary ongoing role offers shifts across early, mid, and late slots, with weekend rotation, and a pro rata salary of £30,000–£31,000.

You will optimise fuel deliveries using a computerised system while ensuring safety, cost efficiency, and on-time performance. The candidate should have transport planning experience, ADR/tanker routing know-how, and a solid grasp of drivers hours regulations, tachograph

Qualifications

• Previous experience in transport planning is highly desirable.
• ADR / Tanker route planning experience is highly desirable.
• Experience in a fast paced transport operation.
• Good understanding of Drivers hours regulations.
• Ability to work a rotational shift pattern (earlies, lates, weekends).
• Experience using planning software/systems.
• Strong knowledge of tachograph regulations.
• Strong administrative skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Competent decision making.
• Good geographical knowledge.

I'm currently recruiting for an experienced Transport Planner to join a leading Fuel distributor who specialise within commercial petrochemical distribution.

Shifts: Covering early (6am-3pm), mid (7am-4pm), and late (9am-6pm) shifts, including weekend rotation (6am-6pm)

The Candidate

• Previous experience within a Transport operation within a planner position is highly desirable
• ADR / Tanker route planning experience is highly desirable
• Previous experience within a fast paced transport position
• A good understanding of Drivers hours regulations
• Ability to work a rotational shift pattern (earlies, lates, and weekends).
• Experience of using system based planning tools
• A strong knowledge of tachograph regulations
• Strong administrative skills
