Job summary

SCC is seeking an experienced Programme Director to lead large-scale business and technology transformation programmes within a complex enterprise. This role provides strategic leadership, drives organisational change, and ensures delivery of major initiatives aligned to business objectives.

You will define strategy, engage senior stakeholders, manage budgets and risks, and deliver benefits realisation while reporting to leadership boards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering large-scale transformation programmes.
• Experience leading complex technology, digital, infrastructure, cloud, or business change initiatives.
• Demonstrable success managing significant programme budgets and senior stakeholder relationships.
• Extensive experience operating within structured governance and delivery frameworks.
• Strong commercial awareness with experience managing suppliers and outsourced service providers.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Experience managing programme risks, dependencies, and benefits realisation activities.
• Ability to operate effectively within fast-paced and highly complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and governance for complex multi-workstream programmes.
• Define programme strategy, objectives, delivery approach, and success measures.
• Lead senior stakeholder engagement across executive teams, business units, and technology functions.
• Manage programme budgets, resource allocation, commercial considerations, and financial oversight.
• Establish and maintain robust programme governance, reporting, risk management, and controls.
• Ensure alignment between programme outcomes, organisational strategy, and business priorities.
• Lead programme managers, project managers, and cross-functional delivery teams.
• Manage dependencies across multiple projects, suppliers, and third-party partners.
• Drive business change, benefits realisation, and organisational adoption activities.
• Provide regular status reporting and executive-level communications to steering committees and leadership boards.
