Job summary

Financial Times is seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead large-scale technology and business transformation programmes across Product & Technology. You will coordinate multiple workstreams, suppliers and stakeholders to deliver strategic outcomes with strong governance and measurable benefits.

The role requires extensive governance, budgeting and delivery expertise, with experience in Agile, hybrid and traditional environments.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading large-scale technology or business transformation programmes.
• Proven track record of managing multiple related projects and cross-functional delivery teams.
• Strong governance, planning, financial management and delivery expertise.
• Experience in Agile, hybrid and traditional project environments.
• Broad understanding of digital products, cloud technologies and data platforms.
• Experience managing third-party suppliers and multi-vendor environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and executive-facing communication.
• Professional programme management certification such as MSP, PgMP, PfMP or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex technology and business transformation programmes from mobilisation through to implementation, adoption and benefits realisation.
• Develop and maintain integrated programme plans across multiple workstreams and partners.
• Establish programme governance, reporting and decision-making processes for delivery success.
• Manage programme budgets, forecasts and financial performance aligned with strategic objectives.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Architecture, Infrastructure, Security and business teams to manage dependencies and risks.
• Oversee third-party suppliers and systems integrators to ensure contractual commitments and SLAs.
• Lead risk, issue, dependency and change management with recovery planning where needed.
• Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and provide clear delivery insights.
• Support organisational readiness and change to ensure long-term value and adoption.
• Drive continuous improvement in delivery practices and cross-team collaboration.
