Job summary

Redline Group is seeking a Technical Director for a pivotal leadership role in Catterick Garrison, North Yorkshire. The position leads the technical team, drives product strategy and design funnel growth, and engages suppliers and OEMs to maximise revenue and service quality.

The ideal candidate will have extensive electronics knowledge, experience in electronics distribution or related sales, and a strong commercial mindset to sustain margins and design-win activity.

Qualifications

• Leadership and development of technical and/or sales teams
• Managing a sustainable design funnel and converting projects into design wins
• Creating and implementing product strategies to drive sales growth and market share
• Collaborating with Sales, Account Management and Purchasing to maximise margins
• Developing relationships with customers, suppliers and stakeholders at senior level
• Managing supplier growth plans, QBRs and new franchise opportunities
• Providing technical support across the product design cycle from evaluation to production
• Driving KPIs and reporting to SMT and Board
• Acting as technical expert in a technology sector and identifying trends
• Supporting marketing activities including webinars, exhibitions and supplier promotions

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the technical and sales teams

• Report performance metrics to SMT and Board
