Job summary

Orion Electrotech seeks a Sales Director to lead growth strategies for a UK engineering manufacturing leader. You will shape the commercial roadmap, build high-value pipelines, and secure customers across defence, marine, energy, and industrial sectors.

You will manage major bids, negotiate at board level, and foster partnerships with OEMs, EPCs, and Tier 1s while representing the business nationally and internationally. A degree and 15+ years in relevant sectors are expected.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified engineer or equivalent industry experience.
• 15 years within engineering, manufacturing, or industrial sectors.
• Proven success delivering significant business growth.
• Background selling complex engineered products or technical solutions.
• Commercially astute with excellent negotiation skills.
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders and board-level decision makers.
• International sales exposure would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Developing and executing the company's long-term sales strategy and business development strategy.
• Building a sustainable pipeline of high-value opportunities.
• Securing new customers across engineering and industrial markets.
• Leading major bids and commercial negotiations.
• Developing relationships with OEMs, Tier 1 organisations, EPC contractors, and key industry stakeholders.
• Identifying new market opportunities and emerging technologies.
• Supporting future product development and manufacturing investment plans.
• Representing the business nationally and internationally.
