Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Technical Director to shape the future of ports, terminals and maritime infrastructure across the UK, Ireland, Europe and selected global markets. You will provide senior technical leadership, client leadership and delivery accountability for major maritime programmes, driving technical excellence and growth across the organisation.

This leadership role offers autonomy, impact and the ability to mentor other engineers while shaping WSP's maritime capability

Qualifications

Significant maritime project leadership experience.
Chartered Engineer status.
External industry profile and leadership experience.
Experience with multi-country delivery and governance.
Knowledge of port electrification, automation and decarbonisation would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

Act as Project Director or senior technical sponsor for major maritime, port and terminal programmes across multiple countries.
Define the technical vision and delivery strategy for major infrastructure programmes.
Provide senior multidisciplinary oversight across maritime civil, geotechnical, coastal, structural, electrical, environmental, buildings, transport and cost disciplines.
Lead technical challenge and decision-making on constructability, phasing, resilience and integration.
Lead strategic pursuits and win strategies, developing compelling client propositions.
Build trusted advisor relationships with senior client stakeholders and mentor technical leaders.
