Job summary

JM Selection is seeking an experienced Supply Planner to join a busy procurement team in Cardiff. The role focuses on ensuring products are available when required, managing supplier relations, and maintaining accurate supply and inventory data.

You will handle purchase orders, coordinate shipments, and work with Product Managers to balance stock for stocked, special and ROL items. The position is Cardiff-based and offers development opportunities within a growing team.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing, procurement or supply chain in a busy environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills with strong written and verbal communication.
• Experience dealing directly with suppliers and negotiating terms.

Responsibilities

• Review the open order book daily and take necessary action.
• Coordinate with suppliers for order acknowledgements, lead times and pricing.
• Place domestic and international purchase orders and manage related admin.
• Arrange and coordinate shipment plans with international suppliers.
• Maintain inventory records and manage stock levels and aging.
• Support stock rotation activities and supplier performance reviews.
• Assist with selecting service providers including freight forwarders.
