Job summary

Pod Talent in the UK is seeking a Supply Planner to join a growing manufacturing business on a hybrid model with 3 days in the office.

You will create and manage supply plans, lead S&OP activities, mitigate risks, and collaborate with Manufacturing, Demand Planning, Commercial, Quality, Customer Service, and external suppliers to ensure continuity and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in Supply Planning.
• Experience in S&OP and developing robust supply plans.
• Strong commercial mindset with excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Strong analytical skills and experience using ERP systems.
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage supply plans across horizons, balancing availability, inventory, costs, and working capital.
• Lead supply planning and Supply Review activities, providing insights, capacity recommendations, and scenarios.
• Identify and mitigate supply risks, proactively managing inventory to minimise shortages and obsolescence.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Demand Planning, Commercial, Quality, Customer Service, and external suppliers.
• Drive continuous improvement across planning processes, systems, reporting and master data.
• Monitor KPIs, analyse trends and root causes, and deliver improvement initiatives.

I am excited to be working with a manufacturing company in Wales that is looking for a Supply Planner to join their team (3 days per week in the office).

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring consistent product availability across manufacturing sites and external suppliers by balancing customer service, inventory levels, working capital, and operational capacity. You'll own key supply planning and S&OP activities, develop robust supply plans, manage supply risks, and use data-driven insights to support decision-making.

Working closely with Manufacturing, Demand Planning, Commercial teams, and external partners, you will play a key role in driving supply continuity, supporting business growth, and continuously improving planning performance.

In this role, you will:

• Create and manage supply plans across short, medium, and long-term horizons, ensuring excellent product availability while balancing inventory, costs, and working capital.
• Lead key supply planning and Supply Review activities, providing insights, capacity recommendations, and supply scenarios to support effective S&OP decision-making.
• Identify and mitigate supply risks, proactively managing inventory levels to minimise shortages, excess stock, and obsolescence across the network.
• Partner closely with Manufacturing, Demand Planning, Commercial, Quality, Customer Service, and external suppliers to align priorities and resolve supply challenges.
• Drive continuous improvement across planning processes, systems, reporting, and master data to enhance planning accuracy and operational performance.
• Monitor supply chain KPIs, analyse trends and root causes, and deliver improvement initiatives that strengthen service levels, inventory performance, and overall efficiency.

About you:
