Job summary

Platform Recruitment is seeking a senior Supply Chain & Procurement Manager to lead and develop the UK supply chain and procurement function from Harwell, Oxfordshire. The role combines strategy, procurement management, and business transformation to support growth.

You will work with Operations, Engineering, Programme, Quality and Finance to ensure a resilient, commercially effective supply chain capable of supporting complex programmes.

Qualifications

• Senior experience leading UK supply chain and procurement functions.
• Experience in complex engineering/manufacturing/regulatory environments.
• Strong strategic sourcing and commercial negotiation experience.
• Proven supplier relationship and performance management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own a 3–5 year supply chain strategy aligned with growth.
• Assess current operating model and define future structure.
• Lead and develop procurement and buying team with direction and performance management.
• Develop strategic sourcing strategies across key categories and expenditures.
• Establish supplier segmentation and supplier-management framework evaluating cost, quality, delivery, risk and capability.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks including single-source dependencies and long lead times.
• Develop supplier network through alternative sourcing and strategic partnerships.
• Improve procurement processes, governance, automation and ERP utilisation.
