Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead a portfolio of substation projects in Scotland, aligning framework strategy with project delivery. You will manage Senior Buyers and Graduates, set objectives, and drive performance across procurement activities.

You will influence project decisions with market intelligence, ensure governance and controls, and develop robust supplier relationships to support future work banks within the Scotland ASTI and T2/3 programmes.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of procurement teams in complex projects.
• Experience leading procurement across multiple projects or a defined portfolio.
• Strong knowledge of strategy, tendering, supplier evaluation and contract awards.

Responsibilities

• Lead Senior Buyers, Buyers and Graduates in portfolio delivery.
• Develop procurement strategies and plans across the portfolio.
• Engage early with stakeholders and supply chain to inform decisions.
• Provide governance, tendering and award oversight with evidence-based decisions.
