Job summary

Valeo Foods UK is seeking a Supplier & Raw Materials Technologist to join our Leeds site on a hybrid basis. You will manage supplier relations, assess raw material risk, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

You will collaborate with Procurement, Technical and Quality teams to drive continuous improvement in supplier performance and ethical sourcing across our UK brands. A HACCP qualification and a degree in a related field are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in the food industry or a similar environment with a focus on supplier management.
• HACCP Level 3 qualification with hands-on experience in BRC compliance and audits.
• Proven experience conducting supplier audits, risk assessments and driving supplier performance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the approved supplier list.
• Conduct raw material risk assessments and manage testing schedules.
• Oversee raw material traceability and mass balance across the supply base.
• Ensure supplier compliance with HACCP, BRC and other food safety standards.
• Carry out supplier audits in line with the risk-based audit schedule.
• Review and improve raw material specifications to meet requirements.
• Support site Technical and Quality teams with supplier issues and improvements.
• Collaborate with HR to manage risks related to supplier ethical compliance.
