Job summary

Valeo Foods UK is seeking a Supplier and Raw Materials Technologist to lead supplier management, risk control, and compliance across raw materials. Hybrid role in Heanor with on-site collaboration with Procurement, Technical and Quality teams.

You will ensure ethical sourcing, drive improvements, and support audits and customer visits. A HACCP Level 3 qualification and driving licence are preferred requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in the food industry or similar with focus on supplier management.
• HACCP Level 3 qualification and hands-on BRC compliance/audits.
• Proven experience conducting supplier audits and risk assessments.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to influence internal/external stakeholders.
• Proactive, practical and solution-driven mindset to tackle supplier issues.
• Degree (or equivalent) in Food Science or related discipline would be desirable.
• Full driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and continuously update the approved supplier list.
• Conduct raw material risk assessments and manage testing schedules.
• Oversee raw material traceability and mass balance across the supply base.
• Ensure supplier compliance with HACCP, BRC and other safety standards.
• Carry out supplier audits in line with the risk-based audit schedule.
• Review and improve raw material specifications to meet requirements.
• Support site Technical and Quality teams with supplier-related issues and initiatives.
• Collaborate with HR to identify and manage supplier ethical compliance risks.
