Job summary

Anglian Water offers an exciting Stakeholder Engagement Manager role in Peterborough, hybrid and flexible working, with a salary circa £55,000-£65,000 per annum. The role focuses on leading engagement for two desalination schemes, building trust with communities, authorities and regulators, and shaping project delivery through inclusive consultation.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading stakeholder engagement programmes within consultancy or in-house environments.
• Experience on major infrastructure projects, ideally within regulated sectors or DCO schemes.
• Strong understanding of planning, consultation and regulatory frameworks.
• Proven ability to build trust and influence a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-management skills.
• Experience managing sensitive issues and mitigating reputational risk.
• Experience managing consultants, budgets and project deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Lead stakeholder and community engagement for a nationally significant infrastructure project.
• Develop and deliver engagement strategies aligned to planning and regulatory requirements.
• Build and maintain relationships with communities, authorities, regulators and stakeholders.
• Manage stakeholder risks and opportunities to minimise delays and reputational impact.
• Collaborate with technical teams to integrate feedback into project design.
• Oversee engagement delivery partners and external consultants.
• Represent Anglian Water at meetings, partnerships and events.
• Support wider communications to improve public understanding of desalination and water resilience.
