What You’ll Be Doing

As a Strategic Sourcing Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in leading high-impact sourcing projects across multiple categories. You’ll manage tenders, lead and coach a team of Buyers, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver best-in-class procurement outcomes that support our 3-Year Strategy and priorities such as Net Zero and Social Value.

Key Responsibilities

Lead sourcing projects and ensure delivery of value, supply chain resilience, and alignment with strategic goals
Manage and coach Buyers, ensuring high performance and development
Deliver sourcing events from start to finish—independently and via your team
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and clients to uncover future sourcing opportunities
Promote the value of strategic sourcing across the business and client base
Monitor commodity markets and macroeconomic trends to inform decision-making
Apply best-in-class procurement insights and continuously improve sourcing frameworks
Conduct risk assessments and mitigation planning within your supply base
Horizon-scan contract expiries and market shifts to drive proactive sourcing strategies
Support sustainable sourcing initiatives and contract compliance

What You Bring

Strong background in strategic procurement and/or category management, ideally in retail, foodservice, or FMCG
Solid understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes
Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive commercial outcomes
Excellent project management and multi-tasking skills in fast-paced environments
Confident decision-maker with sharp commercial acumen
Proven record of delivering cost savings and value in challenging markets
Experience managing and mentoring team members
Strong negotiation, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills
