Job summary

Assystem in the United Kingdom is seeking a SharePoint Administrator to design, operate and optimise MS SharePoint environments in support of regulated nuclear projects.

You will ensure reliability, manage security, perform daily monitoring, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver BAU operations and project initiatives while aligning with governance and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Essential: Degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent; practical SharePoint admin experience.
• Proficient in SharePoint Server and SharePoint Online installation, configuration and maintenance.
• Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture: sites, libraries, workflows, permissions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee SharePoint environment ensuring availability, performance and security.
• Collaborate with Computing team and SharePoint Admins to align with programme goals.
• Design and implement SharePoint infrastructure per requirements.
• Install, configure and upgrade SharePoint systems.
• Set up and manage user accounts and permissions.
• Develop and manage content databases and site collections.
• Work with developers to deploy custom SharePoint solutions.
• Provide end-user SharePoint support.
• Maintain security and stability; address performance or capacity issues.
• Plan and execute backup and disaster recovery operations.
