Job summary

AQA Education in Manchester is seeking a Service Transition Lead to manage the end-to-end transition of technology services into live operation. You will collaborate with senior technology leaders, project teams and suppliers to ensure readiness, governance and successful delivery across a complex landscape.

The role offers hybrid working with a requirement to be in the Manchester office at least two days per week.

Qualifications

• Experience in service transition, service management or IT project delivery.
• Strong knowledge of ITIL service management principles.
• Experience managing multiple stakeholders across project delivery, operational support and supplier environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the successful transition of technology services into live operation, ensuring they are operationally ready and aligned to business objectives.
• Provide governance, challenge and strategic oversight across a portfolio of technology change initiatives.
• Drive service readiness activities and mitigate risks to ensure smooth implementation with minimal operational impact.
• Partner with senior stakeholders, project teams, service owners and suppliers to embed service transition best practice.
• Chair go-live and acceptance into service reviews, ensuring services meet operational and governance requirements.
• Validate future operating models and support arrangements for evolving services.
• Contribute to ongoing maturity of the Service Transition function through governance and process improvements.
