Job summary

Fonoa seeks an SEO Content Lead to own organic search growth across VAT, GST, e-invoicing, and indirect tax topics. You will define the SEO roadmap, oversee technical health, implement on-page strategies, and build a content pipeline to rank and convert.

You will work with tax SMEs to keep content accurate and credible, collaborating with marketing ops to maintain site health. Reporting to Head of Marketing, you’ll drive strategy and execution, with agency and freelancer support as needed.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of SEO experience, with strategy and hands-on technical SEO background.
• Experience managing a content production pipeline, briefing writers and SMEs.
• Ability to translate complex, regulatory subject matter into ranking content.
• Familiarity with core SEO tooling and communicating site issues to engineering.

Responsibilities

• Define and own Organic strategy and SEO roadmap for core topics.
• Coordinate content production calendar and briefing for writers.
• Collaborate with tax SMEs to ensure accuracy and defensible content.
• Track rankings, organic traffic, and conversion; report on performance.
• Apply editorial standards: American English, sentence case, no em dashes.
