Job summary

Cowes Enterprise College, part of Ormiston Academies Trust, invites applications for a SENCo to lead inclusion and SEND strategies across the college, ensuring every student with additional needs is known, understood and supported to flourish in a high-challenge, inclusive environment.

You will lead and develop the SENCo team, guide staff on the graduated approach and train colleagues, while building strong partnerships with parents, carers and external agencies, in collaboration with school

Qualifications

• Must hold Qualified Teacher Status and a degree, and Accredited SENDCo qualification (or be committed to working towards it).
• Experience leading SEN/ SEND provision and improving student outcomes.
• Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice, EHCPs and SEMH needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the SENCo team and supporting staff.
• Guide staff on graduated approach and deliver SEND training.
• Serve as key point of contact for parents, carers, Local Authority and external agencies.
