Job summary

Triumph Consultants Ltd seeks an experienced Strategic Scrutiny & Performance Lead to provide high-level strategic advice, lead performance and scrutiny activity, and support delivery of organisational priorities.

You will manage performance monitoring, corporate governance, strategic planning and scrutiny, building partnerships with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and ensure robust decision-making across the service area.

Qualifications

• Degree level qualification or equivalent strategic experience within a complex public-sector environment.
• Strong experience of corporate governance and performance management.
• Proven experience designing and implementing performance frameworks.
• Welsh Language Level 3, with commitment to achieving Level 4 within 12 months.
• Ability to travel across the service area, including occasional evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic scrutiny, performance monitoring and corporate governance activity.
• Develop and implement performance frameworks, strategies, policies and procedures.
• Provide strategic advice to senior leaders and support effective decision-making.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with partners and key stakeholders.
• Lead partnership activity to deliver strategic priorities and outcomes.
• Manage, motivate and develop a specialist team.
• Analyse complex information and turn it into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Drive continuous improvement, equality and effective public service delivery.
