Job summary

The Farnley Academy is seeking a dynamic Business Manager to lead the business support team, including admin, finance, premises, HR and health & safety, ensuring smooth, sustainable operations in support of the academy’s mission.

The successful candidate will advise the Principal and Governing Body on non-teaching activities and contribute to strategic planning, change management and safeguarding. We welcome applicants who are committed to high standards and professional development.

Qualifications

• Has a level 4 diploma for school business managers or other relevant Level 4 Qualification or willing to work towards.
• Excellent ICT skills (Microsoft Office) including ability to mail merge and use databases.
• Understanding of HR procedures such as absence management, grievances and disciplinary procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively, (in a polite, helpful and efficient manner) with a wide range of people, both face to face and over the telephone.
• Confident, enthusiastic, flexible and responsive to change.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the business support team, including administrative support, finance, premises maintenance, human resources and health and safety within the academy.
• Advise the Principal and Governing Body on the non-teaching activities of the academy.
