Job summary

Teachers UK in Gainsborough is seeking an experienced School Business Manager to join the senior leadership team and oversee the school’s operational and financial management. The role focuses on finance, HR, administration and compliance to support the school's strategic aims.

The successful candidate will combine strategic planning with hands-on execution, lead on governance standards, and work closely with the Headteacher to drive continuous improvement and value for money across all school

Qualifications

• Experience as a School Business Manager or in a senior school operations role.
• Strong experience in financial management and budget planning.
• Knowledge of school operations, HR processes and compliance requirements.
• Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
• Ability to work both strategically and operationally.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and governance standards.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial planning, budgeting and reporting.
• Manage HR processes, including staffing and recruitment support.
• Lead on operational processes across the school.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and statutory requirements.
• Work closely with the Headteacher and leadership team.
• Manage and support administrative and support staff.
• Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the school.
