Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is seeking an experienced HR Manager to oversee the HR function for a school in Manchester. You will provide practical advice to school leaders and ensure HR policies are applied consistently.

The role covers day-to-day HR activities, employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, contracts and records, and safeguarding compliance. You will work with senior leaders to support workforce planning and staff development.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an HR management or senior HR role.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and employee relations.
• Experience advising managers on complex HR matters.
• Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
• Experience in education would be advantageous.
