Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is supporting a vibrant school in Hounslow, West London, to recruit an experienced School HR Manager who will oversee the complete HR function across the school. Reporting to the School Business Manager and Headteacher, the role combines operational leadership with strategic HR advice to ensure compliance with KCSIE, safeguarding, and education-specific frameworks.

Qualifications

• CIPD qualification or equivalent HR experience.
• Experience in educational HR within a school setting.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and KCSIE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end HR function for the school, ensuring compliance with UK employment law and DfE standards.
• Provide expert advice to senior leadership on employee relations, capability, absence management, and restructures.
• Manage HR administration, payroll liaison, and monthly reporting for payroll processing.
• Review and implement school HR policies in line with current guidance and local authority requirements.
• Coordinate performance management cycles, probation reviews, and staff development initiatives.
