Job summary

St Bartholomew’s CE Multi Academy Trust are seeking an outstanding School Business Manager to provide strategic leadership across Little Bloxwich CE Primary School and Abbey Primary School in Walsall.

This permanent, full-year role requires strong financial and operational management, HR oversight, procurement and compliance, and close collaboration with Headteachers, governors and Trust colleagues to ensure high standards of education, safeguarding and efficient school operations.

• The successful candidate will work with Headteachers, governors and Trust colleagues to manage financial, HR, premises and administrative functions.
• Experience in financial management, budget monitoring and reporting.
• Experience in managing staff and leading teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage financial systems, budgets and procurement processes.
• Monitor expenditure and provide detailed financial reports, analysis and recommendations to support decision-making.
• Support strategic planning and long-term financial sustainability of the school.
• Lead and manage administrative and support staff.
• Oversee HR processes, including recruitment and workforce management.
• Manage contracts and SLAs with external providers.
• Support premises, health and safety, compliance and risk management across the school.
• Ensure systems and procedures support efficient operations.
• Collaborate with Trust colleagues to ensure compliance with statutory and Trust requirements.
