Howells Recruitment is seeking an experienced Sales Director for a leading Passive Fire Protection contractor in the UK. You will drive commercial growth, develop key client relationships across the UK, and identify new business opportunities, operating at senior level with Tier 1 Main Contractors.

The role requires deep knowledge of passive fire protection, a strong network in the construction sector, and a proven track record of winning sizeable contracts.

Qualifications

• Senior-level sales/business development experience within Passive Fire Protection.
• Strong track record selling to Tier 1 Main Contractors.
• Established UK construction industry network.
• Knowledge of passive fire protection, including firestopping and compartmentation.
• Proven ability to win new business and secure sizeable contracts.
• Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• Ability to influence at director level.
• Strategic and commercially focused approach to sales.
• Experience leading a sales/business development team (advantage).
• Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.

Responsabilités

• Develop and implement the company's sales and business development strategy.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities within the Passive Fire Protection sector.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Tier 1 Main Contractors, developers and key construction clients.
• Develop existing client accounts and maximise opportunities for repeat and long-term business.
• Lead the preparation and submission of tenders, bids and commercial proposals.
• Work closely with estimating, pre-construction, commercial and operational teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Identify upcoming projects and develop strategies to position the business ahead of competitors.
• Attend client meetings, networking events and industry functions as a senior representative of the business.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and opportunities for business growth.
• Manage and develop the sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting.
• Establish and maintain relationships with senior procurement, commercial and construction personnel.
• Contribute to the overall strategic direction and growth of the business.
• Lead, mentor and develop the wider sales/business development function as the company grows.
