Job summary

ProGroup Recruitment Limited are partnering with a well-established contractor to recruit a Business Development Manager for the passive fire protection division in the UK.

You will identify and win new business, develop long-term client relationships with FM providers, property managers, contractors and public sector bodies, and collaborate with estimating and operations to deliver outstanding service and secure repeat work.

Qualifications

• Experience in Business Development, Sales or Account Management within the construction or facilities management sectors.
• Proven track record of winning new business and developing commercial relationships.
• Experience managing customer accounts beyond the initial sale.
• Strong commercial awareness with the confidence to engage with clients on site.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; proactive, resilient and self-motivated.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Generate new business opportunities through proactive sales activity.
• Build relationships with FM providers, property management companies, contractors, public sector organisations and commercial clients.
• Win reactive projects whilst developing larger-value commercial opportunities.
• Attend client meetings and site visits to understand project requirements and scope potential works.
• Produce initial site reports and gather information to support the estimating process.
• Work closely with Estimating and Operations to ensure a seamless transition from enquiry through to delivery.
• Maintain client relationships throughout the lifecycle of projects.
• Identify opportunities for repeat business and cross-selling additional services.
• Support the continued commercial growth of the Fire Door division.
