Job summary

Itec Skills and Employment invites applications for a Safeguarding Lead Coordinator. You will develop and promote an effective safeguarding culture across all provisions and take lead responsibility for safeguarding, prevent and child protection matters, supporting staff with concerns.

You will keep policies and risk assessments up to date, coordinate online safety, deliver training, manage referrals, and maintain secure records while liaising with HR and external agencies as required.

Qualifications

• Experience developing and maintaining relationships with outside agencies and multi-agency工作
• Experience creating and maintaining GDPR compliant digital safeguarding records
• Experience with safeguarding and prevent procedures and reporting
• Currently qualified as a Designated Safeguarding Lead or held a safeguarding qualification
• Recent safeguarding and prevent update training
• Understanding of safeguarding legislation, policy, guidance and good practice
• Understanding of issues affecting young people and vulnerable adults
• Excellent organisational skills
• Excellent IT skills and concise reporting

Responsibilities

• Develop and promote safeguarding culture across all provisions.
• Lead safeguarding, prevent and child protection matters and support staff with concerns.
• Keep policies and risk assessments up to date with latest statutory guidance.
• Create and maintain risk assessments for Prevent and online safety.
• Deliver training and awareness sessions for staff and volunteers.
• Work with HR to identify ongoing safeguarding training needs.
• Act as first point of contact for safeguarding matters and liaise with external agencies.
• Maintain detailed, secure written records of concerns and referrals.
