Job summary

c2c Railway Limited, an award-winning train operator, is seeking a dedicated Roster Manager in London to deliver a customer-focused resourcing service for Stations and Traincrew. You will drive rostering efficiency, manage day-to-day resourcing and short-term planning changes, and oversee the Tracsis rostering software contract to maximise value.

You will partner with the Resourcing Strategy Manager and Head of Service Delivery, applying strong analytical skills to improve processes and reports

Qualifications

• Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
• Understanding of rostering interfaces with planning output and TC/standing orders.
• Knowledge of c2c and Network Rail operations, geography and train plans.
• Proven ability to work with people to meet objectives.
• Strong capability in managing and developing business processes.
• Highly analytical and skilled in statistics.

Responsibilities

• Provide rostering SME guidance on changes to rostering functions including establishment, pay talks and timetable changes.
• Assist end-to-end rostering process management for Traincrew, Stations, Revenue Protection and Service Delivery functions.
• Forward plan roster changes based on business knowledge and key issues.
• Develop skills and stay updated on organisational trends and apply them.
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with frontline staff, union reps and stakeholders.
• Use technology to improve rostering delivery and service level.
• Manage the Tracsis contract for rostering software with the Resourcing Strategy Manager.
• Ensure GDPR compliance and confidentiality at all times.
• Guide managers on optimal resource use and produce reports on team output.
