Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Risk Professional to join the Energy Networks & Renewables team, focusing on major energy projects across transmission and distribution. You will identify, analyse and manage cost, schedule and business risks, support commercial decisions, and embed best-practice risk processes.

The role offers opportunities to develop capability, work with delivery teams, and contribute to client account growth across Northern England and beyond.

Qualifications

• Experience in project, programme or enterprise risk management.
• Experience in regulated environments, especially Energy.
• Ability to build and interpret risk models and present probabilistic outcomes.
• Experience applying QRA techniques and using listed tools.
• Knowledge of ERM tools like ARM, Predict!, Xactium.
• Understanding of contracts and relationship between risk management and controls.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and mentor juniors.

Responsibilities

• Deliver risk management services to clients in compliance with governance and objectives.
• Undertake day-to-day risk management activities including identification, assessment, management, review and reporting of risks, issues and opportunities.
• Produce periodic risk reporting including risk expenditure, impacted risk/contingency drawdown and risk exposure changes.
• Advise project teams on mitigation, contingency, allocation of risk, and commercial implications.
• Develop, validate and run Quantitative Risk Analysis including Cost, Schedule and integrated analyses.
• Use knowledge to ensure identification and management of all significant risks to project objectives.
• Deliver discrete risk interventions and embedded risk management services across delivery teams.
• Coach and mentor junior team members and contribute to capability building.
• Drive continuous improvement in tools, processes and data quality for risk management.
