Job summary

Housing Plus Group is seeking an Accountant Rents & Service Charges to join the Finance function. The role focuses on rent and service charge management, regulatory compliance and transparent financial reporting.

You will lead a small team, support the Rent Standard requirements, collaborate with ICT and operations, and work in a hybrid pattern with one day a week in the Telford office.

Qualifications

• Experience in rent and service charge settings.
• Strong understanding of housing finance and regulatory requirements.
• Advanced Excel skills and data integrity focus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end service charge cycle including budgeting and billing.
• Ensure compliance with Rent Standard and legislation.
• Maintain accurate rent/service charge data and system integrity.
• Lead a small team of Assistant Accountants.
• Support internal and external audits and stakeholder communications.
