Job summary

Solarcentury Africa is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth across Africa from the UK base. You will identify strategic opportunities, develop compelling proposals, and coordinate inputs from engineering and commercial teams.

The role requires strong English writing, presentation skills, and financial modeling to present-costed options to clients. Extensive travel within Africa is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field is required.
• Master’s degree is preferred but not essential.
• Experience in writing and winning proposals is essential.
• Basic technical knowledge of PV, storage, and grid integration helps.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in renewables and storage across the designated region.
• Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients.
• Lead on proposals and coordinate inputs from internal teams.
• Use financial models to determine cost-effective renewable solutions for clients.
