Job summary

Calibre Scientific Group is seeking a procurement professional to manage purchases across UK brands from on-site in Rotherham. You will handle PO processing, supplier onboarding, and ongoing supplier evaluations, ensuring best price, quality, and on-time delivery.

The role involves collaborating with QA, logistics, and finance to optimize stock, lead times, and cost savings while maintaining accurate ERP records and market awareness.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college; 6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training.
• Desirable: CIPS or equivalent qualification.
• Experience with SAP ByDesign is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create, process, and receive purchase orders for inventory and consumables into the ERP system (SAP By Design).
• Monitor and track order status to ensure on-time delivery.
• Create and maintain item records in the ERP system (codes, descriptions, cost, lead time).
• Monitor inventory levels and adjust stock as required to maintain optimal stock.
• Onboard new or grandfathered suppliers; progress prequalification and set up suppliers.
• Perform supplier evaluations with QA team for performance, quality, and contractual adherence.
• Conduct market research on industry trends, availability, and pricing.
• Identify cost savings and efficiency improvements in purchasing.
• Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers for Calibre Scientific UK products.
• Collaborate with Customer Care, Quality Control and Logistics to ensure seamless purchasing.
